We are looking to recruit an Automation Technician at our Oakside site in Te Puke.
You will enjoy a dynamic role, which requires the ability to provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of automated equipment on site.
The Automation Technician is responsible for ensuring that preventative maintenance and testing of automated equipment is done regularly to ensure they are operating correctly, and performing repairs when necessary.
Operate Spectrim/NIR technology to optimise productivity within the postharvest facility.
Key areas of responsibility include:Setup, maintain and troubleshoot automated production systemsOptimise Spectrim and NIR technology to maximise throughputsConduct testing to evaluate performance of automated systemsOperate machinery/automation to the specifications of the packhouse manager in accordance with Seeka policy and proceduresMaintain records of automated systemsDevelop and implement modifications to automated systemsPerform preventative maintenance on automated systemsAssist with the development of training materials for other operatorsTo be successful in this role you will have the following:Ability to operate and maintain automated machines and systemsKnowledge of programming languages and software applications related to automation, e.g., Spectrim, sizer software, FreshpackStrong organizational skillsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsFlexible/adaptive/resilient: Able to shift strategies and accept other viewpoints.
Adapt quickly and effectively to changing/unexpected situations.
Able to overcome disappointments and learn from setbacks.Health and safety: Awareness of H&S legislative requirements around machineryPrevious industry knowledge or experience in a similar roleYou must be eligible to work in NZ to apply.
