Automation Manager

We're looking for someone to fill the new role of Automation Manager at our Quarry Road site in Te Puke.This role will deliver and optimise automated packing solutions by leading the design, installation, commissioning, training and development of staff who use our automated equipment.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who will be the site champion for control systems, such as Ricado and Ignition, and the technical expert on hardware, software and data!You will aspire to create an environment of operational excellence, where your team is always empowered to do its very best!Minimum Requirements:Experience working within a production or automated manufacturing environment.Experience leading and organising CAPEX projects.To be able to understand and achieve quality and cost targets.Strong project management, problem solving and time management skills.Excellent people and communication skills.To be able to work to deadlines and make sound decisions when working under pressure.An understanding of software coding and data architecture.Knowledge of a permit to work system.Mechanical aptitude and practical skills - able to assume responsibility for technical issues as they arise.You will need to enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have the flexibility to work extended hours with varying start and finish times, and work on weekends, to meet the operational needs of the business during our peak seasons.Applications will need to include a detailed cover letter and CV.
