Job Description: As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems and processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, create technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet and exceed expectations. Your role will involve programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), designing HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, integrating industrial robots, and troubleshooting control systems to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement automation systems based on project requirements.
Develop PLC programs and HMI interfaces for control and monitoring.
Integrate robotics and other automated systems into existing manufacturing processes.
Conduct testing and debugging of automation systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to optimize system performance.
Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation technologies.
Requirements:
Electrical Design Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in electrical system design with a focus on baggage and materials handling projects.
Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions.
Technical Competence: Possess a strong working knowledge of EPlan or AutoCAD, PLC Programming packages (preferably Rockwell, Omron, and Siemens), and SCADA packages (preferably Iconix or Ifix).
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
Hands-on experience with robotics and motion control systems is desirable.
Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with AS/NZ3000 or equivalent international wiring standards and regulation
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
