Automation Engineer (Intermediate or Senior)Location: Hawkes Bay, New ZealandSalary: $100,000 - $140,000 + Overtime at Base RateRelocation Assistance if neededThe RoleWe are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with a wide knowledge base in the industrial sector covering PLC, HMI/SCADA, Machine Safety, and Motion Controls. Working closely with a team of highly experienced engineers, you will have the scope to really make an impact in this role. With a key focus on analysing and assessing current and future customer needs, then developing project solutions to meet their technical requirements, you will enjoy significant variety in your work.Key Skills:You will bring a wealth of automation engineering expertise to the role, including exposure to advanced programming capability across a range of industrial software products. You will have proven capability installing and commissioning automation equipment, developing technical specifications, and delivering successful project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and contribute to diverse automation projects, collaborating with a skilled team of engineers.Program and configure PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.Design and implement safety systems and industrial networks.Engage in continuous learning and development through training and certifications.Must-Haves:6+ years' experience in Automation Engineering, ideally morePLC experience with Rockwell and other platformsSafety PLC experienceSCADA/HMI experienceStrong understanding of Industrial NetworksUnderstand Electrical Engineering principlesAbility to read & understand Electrical SchematicsAbility to setup VSD'sWork Schedule:Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Typically 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.Overtime: Paid at base rate after 40 hours.
