We're on the hunt for an experienced New Truck Preparation Technician with experience in preparing brand new trucks for purchase and distribution.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (45 hours per week)
Schedule: General Monday to Friday work, with occasional flexibility as required by the department. Weekend Work: Possible, based on demand.
Job Summary This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Expertise in automotive electrical systems is crucial, as it plays a key role in ensuring vehicle reliability, enhancing customer satisfaction, and preparing new trucks for delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify and address vehicle electrical issues.
Electrical Repairs: Conduct repairs on a variety of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, lighting, and electronic components.
Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain essential electrical systems like batteries, alternators, starters, and electronic control units (ECUs).
Component Replacement: Replace and upgrade components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work aligns with industry standards and safety regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate repair records, including parts used and services rendered.
Customer Communication: Explain diagnoses and recommended repairs to customers, providing clear estimates.
Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure a high standard of workmanship.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in automotive electrical technologies.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams and customers to meet accessory requirements.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management to ensure availability of necessary parts.
Customer Satisfaction: Address customer concerns and ensure a positive experience.
Role Expectations and Requirements Trade qualification in a related field
5+ years of experience as an automotive technician
Proven experience in automotive electrical systems
Proficiency in diagnostic equipment, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
Competence in soldering and crimping electrical connections
Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Electrical Technician
