About the roleBattery Auto Electric Ltd is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Oamaru, North Otago.
This is a full-time position that will see you working on a variety of automotive electrical systems and components.
As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, as well as carrying out regular maintenance and servicing on our clients' vehicles.What you'll be doingDiagnosing and repairing electrical faults in a wide range of vehicle makes and modelsCarrying out scheduled maintenance and servicing of automotive electrical systemsTesting and replacing faulty components such as batteries, alternators, starters, and wiringPerforming electrical upgrades and modifications to vehicles as requiredProviding exceptional customer service and advising clients on the best course of actionMaintaining accurate records of all work undertakenEnsuring a safe and organised work environmentWhat we're looking forFormal qualification in Automotive Electrical or a related disciplineExperience as an Auto Electrician in a workshop environmentStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsProficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and toolsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesGood communication skills and the ability to liaise with customersWhat we offerAt Battery Auto Electric Ltd, we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
