Join us as an Auto-Electrician in our Christchurch based Workshop!
We are looking for an experienced and fully qualified Auto-Electrician to join the Christchurch team within our existing workshop.
We have a comprehensive heavy vehicle workshop at our Hornby yard which provides mechanical services for our plant and equipment.
We also have onsite WOF testing, onsite Auto electrical, and an onsite paint shop that create the "One-stop-shop" for all vehicle repairs.
In a ddition to the above you will: Be responsible for repairs and maintenance on various plant, equipment, and trucks/trailers Complete wiring of new lighting packages, beacons, recording cameras and RT's on new builds Carry out general auto electrical maintenance on existing vehicles, such as; diagnosing and repairing faults, checking charging systems, upgrading lighting packages, etc.
Ensure high risk situations for mechanics and auto electricians can be identified without error.

We're looking for someone with: National Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering (Level 4) or International Qualification with NZQA equivalency A commitment to doing a quality job safely A good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems Experience in repairing heavy plant and contracting equipment A proactive approach to plant maintenance The ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision Appropriate licences for heavy trucks, construction equipment and forklift A positive attitude and friendly manner Creating, Connecting and caring for the community?
