Our over 50 years' experience in producing and maintaining dangerous goods tank wagons (fuel tankers) in which no compromise is allowed in the pursuit of excellence aimed at producing a tanker that outperforms and outlasts any competitive tanker. Designed for New Zealand's demanding roads and farm tracks, all chassis and sub-frames are built to last.
About The Role We are looking to engage an auto electrician to be part of this fast-paced, growing team. Whose role will be to install, repair and maintain electrical systems on customer road tankers and all company vehicles.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To Install, repair and maintain electrical systems on tankers and company vehicles.
Undertake fabrication/assembly of components as required.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
Diagnose problems and implement solutions to remedy them.
Ensure all vehicles are safe and fit for purpose. Install new electrical equipment.
Review and advise on engineering requirements and drawings.
Conduct maintenance and safety inspections.
Keep accurate reports of all work done.
Ensure adherence to safe working practices.
Actively engage in and promote safe working practices.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION A minimum of three years' experience.
A formal qualification in relevant trade.
Strong and systematic approach to problem solving and decision making.
Good communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective contact with staff and key partners, suppliers, contractors.
The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative and with low level supervision.
Current knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
General electrical equipment maintenance including hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience working on flammable liquids or gases tank wagons would be considered advantageous.
