Salary Range: $68,000 - $77,000 Permanent Role Location: Wellington As an Authority Officer, you will provide quality case management, administration, and operational support to the ERA members to assist them in carrying out their functions efficiently and effectively.
You will have a key role in ensuring that files are actively managed, that parties are dealt with respectfully, and that members of the ERA are provided with the case management support that they need to progress matters to a determination.
Key tasks of the role: Providing administrative support to Authority Members including diary and case management.Building strong working relationships and effective communications with the Authority Members and team members.Reviewing, proofreading, checking simple calculations, ensuring names are correct, formatting, punctuating, and checking grammar of Members' determinations.Making meeting venue bookings including arranging security, interpreters, and special requests made by stakeholders.Skills and Experience Required: Excellent customer service skills and service delivery mindset.Strong experience in relationship management, recognizing that you are the point of contact for parties and the liaison between the parties and the Members.Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft products, working with databases, and proficient calendar management.Experience managing a large case or file load, both electronic and hardcopy, at various stages.Strong administration skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize your work.Ability to react and respond to changing priorities and deadlines.Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.Experience in dealing with upset and possibly difficult parties.A high standard of written and oral communication skills.MBIE's goal is to create a resilient and high-performing economy that delivers real and ongoing quality of life for all New Zealanders.
