You'll be looked upon to lead and guide tikanga within the takiwa, ensuring all interactions involving kaimahi and key TWoA stakeholders are carried out appropriately, and Maori values and philosophies are embedded within key functions, engagements, and decision-making processes.Day to day, the Aukaha Te Aho Tui Tikanga will support the interpretation and application of cultural practices in iwi and community engagements, ensuring that our operations, culture, and relationships, reflect the diversity of korero, Matauranga, and tikanga specific to regions within each takiwa.
As a result, these positions act as key conduits between Iwi, Hapu, Marae, the community, and TWoA planners and leaders.
Mou | About youSuccess in delivering similar objectives as those outlined above would be ideal.
Strong, existing relationships with iwi and hapu in the takiwa would be a real advantage OR experience in treaty negotiations and policy development.Written and spoken fluency in te reo Maori.The ability to build credibility and rapport easily with others is essential, leading to last relationships and the ability to influence.
Experience blending te ao Maori with the operational needs of a business will be key.
