Within the Te Waenga takiwa (region), the Aukaha contributes to strategic planning and implementation, takes responsibility for registry and enrolments, oversees tauira marketing and recruitment, and nurtures key relationships with local iwi, hapu, community groups and Kura Maori. The Aukaha Kahutaupua also plays an active part as a member of Tumatakahuki, the senior leadership team who oversee strategy and operations in the Te Waenga takiwa. Mou(About you)To this role, you'll bring extensive operational management experience within the education sector along with proven capability in a regional or national leadership role. Your understanding of the tauira journey will mean you're able to identify opportunities and effectively contribute to strategy and operations in this space.You're an excellent relationship manager and people leader who can establish strong bonds with others in a complex organisation and externally. Existing relationships with iwi or hapu, or a track record of success working with Maori in your region would be ideal.
