The Opportunity:Our Audit team provide industry insight and real perspective on whether our client's accounts are true and fair. Working in Audit allows you to get straight to the heart of business issues, plus you get the chance to offer proactive advice tailored to each individual business and build strong client relationships along the way. Day to day you will:Assist managers in the performance of audit assignments as an auditor or in-charge. The work may involve complex technical issues e.g., statutory audits, regulatory assurance, limited reviews, proposals and special reports, and other accounting services.Assist in the planning, execution and finalization of all areas of the audit assignment for reviewProduce work for the Manager or Partner review clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identifiedRespond to client queries and attend client meetingsAssist in identifying business and audit risksAssess effectiveness of client processes and controlsUndertake work across a mixture of medium to higher risk audit areasDay to day coaching of junior team membersEnsure effective use and application of KPMG Audit Execution Guide (KAEG), auditing standards; GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and KPMG auditing software (KPMG Clara)What you'll bring to our team:A minimum two years of relevant practical audit experience in an Audit FirmA degree in relevant subjects, e.g., Accounting, Finance, or Economics which meet CAANZ requirements.You may be a provisional member of a relevant professional body, e.g., Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA)Be technically proficient across audit and audit related servicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsProfessional approach to work and strong client focusLife at KPMG KPMG values diversity in the workforce and we encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply for roles, including individuals with a disability, additional mental health needs, chronic health conditions or who identify as neurodivergent.
