We're looking for a Fieldwork Coordinator to play a pivotal role in maximizing the positive impact of our fieldwork programme.
This role involves planning, coordinating, participating in, documenting, reporting and publishing the Zoo's field conservation and research activities to ensure alignment with our conservation goals.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
This role may require flexible hours and serving as a point of contact for other staff working outside standard schedules.
He korero mou: About you You will be a passionate conservationist with: A minimum of an undergraduate qualification in biological or conservation science (MSc or PhD preferred).At least three years zoo, conservation or other relevant experience.Strong project management skills and field conservation knowledge.Familiarity with relevant partner organisations including NZ Department of Conservation, IUCN CPSG, and New Zealand NGOs.An aptitude and ambition for scientific writing and publication.To help you succeed in the role you will need: Proven written communication skills, including scientific writing.Excellent verbal communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations to a range of audiences.
Basic Te Reo Maori would be an advantage.An aptitude for building and maintaining diverse relationships across a range of stakeholders including iwi, government and non-governmental organisations.Great organisational skills with an adaptable and detail-focused approach.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou: What we offer

The salary for this role is $75,000-80,000 (per annum, skills and experience dependent), four weeks annual leave, rising to five weeks after 5 years, and a range of partnership discounts and benefits; a snapshot of which can be viewed here.
