Attendant Job Number : WAI28397 Where you'll be working : Waikato Hospital The details: Permanent Full time and Part time positions available Salary details : $23.75-$28.18 per hour MECA + Kiwisaver Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The position reports to the Attendants team leader We are a team of 120-130 attendants.
The role involves walking up to 15km per day, lifting items up to 10kg and pushing patients on beds or other mobility equipment.
You need to be very fit to succeed in this role All attendants need to be available to work a rotating roster.
Key responsibilities of the role: Transport of patients, blood collection, cleaning defined areas, mail sorting/deliveries, removal of rubbish and linen.
Provide customer-focused coordination and telephone service for the attendant team including completion of accurate data, recording and processing of requests as required.

Mou | About you Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role: Excellent fitness to work in an environment with heavy physical demands including frequent walking, pushing and lifting.
Willingness to follow direction and carry out tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
The ability to build and maintain positive respectful relationships with customers and team members.
Be reliable with an excellent attendance record.
A full NZ driver's licence for automatic and manual vehicles is essential.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
