We believe in the intrinsic tapu of rangatahi, their right to equal opportunity, wellbeing and participation within their community.Our aims are to:Deliver an integrated community-based service that is accessible, responsive, and addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of young people.Offer support and advocacy for all young people.Be an environment that is supportive, safe, promotes wellbeing, and is founded on research and expertise.Promote the need for early intervention and prevention.Our Attendance Advisors work alongside whanau and schools to support tamariki aged 6 to 16 to attend and engage in education.Our Caseworkers work alongside rangatahi aged 11 to 18 years in order to identify and explore their unique needs and enhance their well-being.We have a multidisciplinary team with a range of expertise and experience including occupational therapists, teachers, social workers, nurses, and youth workers.We encourage you to apply if you:Have experience working alongside tamariki, rangatahi, and whanau.Work from a strengths-based approach.Can build strong relationships with rangatahi, their whanau, and the wider community networks of support.Have established relationships with schools.Are a highly reflective practitioner who uses best practices and seeks to continually improve.Align with OYWT's mahi and aims.Are registered with a relevant professional board.OYWT offers a positive and supportive work culture where we work collaboratively and enjoy strengthening our practice as a team.This is a fixed-term position starting on 20th January 2025 and finishing on 19th December 2025.Applications close on Friday, 13th December 2024 – please include a letter of application, your CV including 3 referees, and email ******.
