A close-knit family of dedicated staff, inspired students and supportive parents, we offer values-based, holistic learning focused on academic excellence, extensive co-curriculum, student well-being, and service to others.An opening has arisen within the Sports Department for an Athletic Development Coach to join our team.As an Athletic Development Coach, you will support the long-term athletic development strategy from school years 7-13, while working directly with the Head of Athletic Development and Sports Coaches to lead the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD), rehabilitation, and general health and wellness programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of the Athlete Development program and facilitate sport-specific strength and conditioning programs with athletes, supporting the implementation of strategies linking the College to the latest Sports Science techniques and initiatives.Typical Daily Schedule:6.00 am – 8.00 am: Support Sports teams and individuals with program delivery + Gym supervision, engage and connect with the Athletes, Sports coaches, Physiotherapist, and rehabilitating athletes.3:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Delivering and/or supporting Head of Athletic Development with program delivery + Gym supervision, engage and connect with the Athletes and Head of Sports codes, Physiotherapist, and rehabilitating athletes.Within this time, you will also monitor and communicate with SKFC staff and SKC Staff/teachers to ensure that all health and safety policies are upheld and best practices are being followed, including staff and student inductions.Key Skills and Experiences:Practical experience with Athletic Development programs across sporting codes.Suitable qualifications in the sports industry.Requirements and Attributes:Building strong relationships.Understanding of Strength and Conditioning practices.Understanding of Health and Safety practices.An excellent communicator and listener.Well-organised.Strong interpersonal skills.Passion for all sports.Approachable.Hard-working.Flexible.What We Offer:Competitive remuneration.Subsidised Southern Cross healthcare.Access to gym.Two Saint Kentigern days of additional leave.Free on-site car parking.How to Apply:Applications are to be submitted online using the vacancy link provided and should comprise a cover letter and current CV (including the names of at least two referees).
