This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to join a tight-knit team offering exposure to high-calibre, cross-jurisdictional disputes across a range of sectors including competition and fair trading law, insolvency, banking and finance, construction, and general commercial disputes.This role will see you working closely with senior practitioners, advising on multi-faceted legal issues, and representing clients in litigation at both domestic and international levels. The firm's work often involves multi-million-dollar disputes, international arbitrations, and cross-border collaborations.Key Responsibilities:Manage and represent clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including construction disputes, contract breaches, and other commercial issues.Provide expert advice to clients on the strategic management of disputes.Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions, alongside trial and hearing preparation.Build strong relationships with clients and maintain a high standard of service.Work within a collaborative team environment with exposure to senior lawyers and partners.Skills & Experience:NZ Qualified & admitted lawyer4+ years experience in litigation & dispute resolution from a reputable firmExcellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.Proactive, solution-focused approach with a high degree of attention to detail.Ability to manage complex workloads with competing deadlines.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded litigator to develop their expertise in a supportive environment with an international reach.
