Associate / Senior Associate - Corporate About the roleOur market-leading Corporate team is looking for experienced lawyers in our Auckland office who have the drive and ambition to get deals done.About the roleOur market-leading Corporate team is looking for experienced lawyers in our Auckland office who have the drive and ambition to get deals done.As an intermediate or senior lawyer in the team, you will advise on a full range of corporate matters, including on M&A, takeovers and capital markets transactions, across a broad range of industries and sectors and for a diverse group of local and international clients.Recent DealsThe Corporate team has lead the New Zealand market in deal activity in the past 12 months, culminating in winning New Zealand Deal Firm of the Year at the 2021 Australasian Law Awards. Among other matters, the team advised:EQT Infrastructure IV Fund on its NZ$1.49 billion acquisition of NZX-listed Metlifecare by way of scheme of arrangement;Bentley Systems on its US$1.05 billion acquisition of Seequent, a global leader in 3D modelling software for geosciences;Lightspeed POS on the US$350 million acquisition of Vend, a cloud-based retail management software company;Modern Times Group on its NZ$203 million acquisition of New Zealand-based leading tower defense mobile games developer and publisher Ninja Kiwi;AustralianSuper on its proposed AU$5.4 billion acquisition of Infratil; andResolution Life on the New Zealand aspects of the acquisition of AMP Life for AU$3.0 billion.Experience and qualifications4 to 7 or more years PQE, including private practice and/or in-house.Large scale M&A, takeovers and capital markets transactions.Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen.Right to work in New Zealand.Culture and benefitsWe provide a generous remuneration package, which ranges between $100,000 - $210,000 per annum (subject to the applicants PQE and level of experience).
