We are a successful, market-leading property management agency looking for an Associate Property Manager to join the team on a fixed-term basis until the end of March 2025.

We have a diverse portfolio which includes standalone properties, apartments (studio style to executive living), and sole management buildings covering the Wellington Region as far south as the southern bays and as far north as Palmerston North.
You will be joining the wider Property Management team in a supportive capacity, aiding Property Managers with their duties to oversee the day-to-day management of their portfolios.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who would like to gain an introduction into the Property Management industry.
Some of your roles and responsibilities may include:
Property Marketing – assisting with the marketing of properties for new tenants and ensuring that properties are leased to quality tenants at market rates.
Tenant Relations and Management – assisting with the execution and ongoing management of lease agreements, monitoring, and following up on rental payments in a timely manner.
Facilities Management – scheduling maintenance and repairs, upkeep of long-term maintenance plans, assisting with contract negotiations with contractors, conducting regular property inspections, and prompt resolution of property emergencies.
Owner Relations – ensuring open dialogue with property owners is maintained on matters such as vacancies, tenants, physical condition of property, financial matters, etc.
Ideally, you will:
Be a strong business communicator, leveraging your interpersonal skills to maintain client relationships.
Have a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Be competent with office management software or be eager to learn.
Have an awareness of financial reporting.
Be professional, innovative, and confident within a business environment.
Have a full, clean New Zealand driver's license to be able to drive company vehicles.
Being familiar with applicable local, regional, and national laws and regulations will be advantageous but not completely necessary as you will be provided with lots of ongoing support, mentoring, and training.
This is a full-time fixed-term role; however, due to the nature of the work, we have an alternating roster system that covers Monday-Saturday.
