As an Associate Production Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the production of immunological reagents, including protein extraction, purification, and chromatography. You will gain hands-on experience with a wide range of biochemistry techniques, contributing directly to our mission of delivering high-quality products that improve patient outcomes worldwide.
We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in biochemistry or a related field, ideally with experience in chromatography. Whether you're just starting your career or have years of experience.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
You will possess the following: Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, an advantage with Cell and Molecular Biosciences.Competency with Microsoft Office products.Flexible positive attitude.Willing to work a 40 hour week.Already have the right to work and remain in New Zealand.The primary responsibility of this role will be the production of high-quality immunological reagents using chromatography techniques, maintaining quality production output, and continuous process improvement.  This position is expected to support the manufacturing team in meeting the production demand, and in maintaining the standard operating procedures for the processes.
Key Duties:
Processing of raw materials.Production of antigens including protein extraction and purification, chromatography from analytical to processing scale.Meeting agreed Production Schedule in products manufactured, yield and quality of products as required to meet customer demand.Performing biochemistry techniques, such as DNA/RNA gel electrophoresis, SDS PAGE, chromatography, Western blotting, ELISA, spectrophotometric analysis, protein concentration determination assays.Meeting key metrics and objectives.Maintaining accurate laboratory records, results & documentation.Ensure all work is conducted following correct procedures and guidelines.Reviewing/checking laboratory records, results, and documentation to ensure all work is accurate and performed to the required standards and guidelines.Use of technical equipment in line with standard operating procedures.Ensuring an ongoing understanding of existing protein purification technologies.Accurate calibration and maintenance of all appropriate facility resources, including:Analytical equipmentChromatographic SystemLaboratory utilitiesOther reasonable requests
