An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to join our expanding school community. Following the promotion to Principal, Pokeno School is seeking a new Associate Principal to lead the junior school (Y1–4) and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Pokeno School is experiencing significant growth, with a current roll of 650 learners. We are looking for a dynamic leader who can continue to build upon and enhance the school's strategic direction. The successful candidate will be fully released and will collaborate closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal, and Whanau Leaders to support the school's vision, 'Ma Te huruhuru, Ka rere Te manu - Adorn the bird with feathers so it can fly.'
The ideal Associate Principal will: Be a New Zealand registered teacher,
Demonstrate proven leadership experience working collaboratively with teachers and whanau to ensure learner success,
Demonstrate a growth mindset,
Exhibit adaptability in a dynamic environment,
Have experience in Structured Literacy, play-based learning, PB4L, and Mitey Education.
