We are a short walk to Taurikura Beach, or drive to Ocean Beach. The school is set in natural bush, with an outdoor classroom and bush area to play in, Fern Valley. Our kids climb trees, build huts and play in mud! We are proud to be an Enviro School and connect with local community environmental groups as part of this learning. We have a welcoming community who are incredibly supportive of the school. The staff are a close-knit team, who enjoy learning and laughing together.Our roll is currently 165, and we have recently put in place an enrolment scheme to ensure we maintain the lovely whanau feeling in our kura.We are seeking an experienced teacher for our Y7 and 8 class. This is a special role in our kura, as we nurture our akonga to be the leaders they are, and support them to transition through to high school.In addition, this role also contains a leadership role as the team leader for the Tuakana team. In 2025 this will most likely be two classes (Y4–5 and Y5–6). The successful person will be part of our senior leadership team and be supported to grow in their leadership.
