We are looking for four Associate Policy Advisors to start with us in February 2025. As an Associate Policy Advisor, you'll be tackling real-life problems and making a lasting difference in the lives of New Zealanders. You'll engage in meaningful work – researching topical issues, analysing key trends, and helping us deliver projects and programmes. We will support you to build the skills and knowledge necessary to step fully into a career in policy and progress to be a Policy Advisor in a year's time. Policy professionals provide the evidence and information Ministers need to make informed decisions on public policy issues. Policy at MBIE involves exciting and challenging mahi that could see you looking at a wide range of issues: How do we grow tourism value while maintaining the support of communities? How do we lift New Zealand's productivity to help us afford the nice things? How do we ensure that firms continue to have access to the skills and labour needed to grow output while minimising the impact migration can have on New Zealand's infrastructure and social services? You can have no more than one year of post-graduation full-time work experience. You must have graduated or will finish your study before February 2025.
