Job Description The Employer
A boutique tax firm that services some of the largest companies, enhancing their indirect tax function by realising cashflow benefits and process efficiencies.
About your new job
Working with ASX Listed and Multi-national companies, you will be focused on Indirect Tax Recovery, Assurance, and Intelligence consulting. Due to its continued expansion, you will play a key role in the companies domestic expansion, and in time, expansion abroad.
Some of the key responsibilities assigned to this role include:
Work on and manage Indirect Tax projects, mainly GST (Goods and Services Tax) recovery projects
Identification, validation and confirmation of indirect tax recoveries
Storytelling and Presenting findings to clients
Consult with clients to help expedite data preparation and collation
Review client data to source and tax reported to the ATO
Key point of contact for the technology data team and help identify and realise data-driven operational efficiencies.
The Successful applicant
Our client is flexible, not only seeking those who have specialised in tax, but also keen to see Finance Managers / Controllers who have been responsible for overseeing indirect taxes and are interested to move into consulting. Ideally, you will have experience gained working in a large corporate, multinational or ASX listed company
Experience with GST, and if possible, Fuel Tax Credits
Inter-personally, you will see your strengths as your ability to work with clients at varying levels (partnering with multinational and ASX businesses) and thrive to add value in all that you undertake.
Excellent communication, storytelling and report writing skills
Staff come from diverse disciplines including indirect tax, accounting and internal audit, and have occupied senior positions in Big 4 accounting firms and investment banks.
