We help our clients achieve the right balance across the spectrum of generation through renewable energy sources, solar, wind, stored energy, hydropower and fossil fuels; and alternative energy fuels including hydrogen and electrification.Job DescriptionAs a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work on a range of projects in the energy and renewable power sector. Projects range from small scale power generation to large-scale projects from concept through to detailed design stages across various industries, including future fuels and renewable energy projects, power generation, biogas and wastewater.What will a day in this role look like?Providing engineering design and technical advisory services to a diverse range of clients; ensuring all technical design work is completed in accordance with local standards and sound engineering principles.Reviewing technical and design reports, preparing and presenting bids and proposals including cost estimates and supporting materials.Working closely with project teams to ensure timely provision of coordinated and quality engineering deliverables.Actively fostering and strengthening relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers; developing new relationships in the pursuit of winning work for the energy business.Coaching, mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineers empowering them to grow and develop professionally.QualificationsWhat are we looking for from you?The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (or equivalent).20 years+ technical experience in power generation, industrial process, wastewater/biogas and/or future fuels projects, preferably within a consulting environment.Demonstrated technical leadership with a proven track record in successful project delivery, including design management for detailed design projects.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.An established network within the energy community in NZ, with the ability to build new relationships through your connections, and from the high-quality technical engineering you are known for.Additional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
