Mo te tunga |About the role We have a 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) position and are seeking anenthusiastic and dedicated Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) to join ourhealthcare team. As the ACNM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring thedelivery of high-quality patient care while working closely with our CentralCommunity CNM. The ACNM will also work closely with Home Base Support Services ensuringstrong clinical governance and daily support for support workers and nursingcolleagues. The ACNM will ensure continuation of training and development for staff,as well as other managerial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager, you will beresponsible for:
Promoting contemporary and patient-focused professional nursing practice. Effectively interacting with patients, family members, whanau, and healthcare team members while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Coordinating team activities and supporting systems to meet patient needs in line with our patient-focused care philosophy. Demonstrating service improvement skills. Exercising effective management, supervision, and delegation skills within the healthcare team. Showing responsibility, accountability, and commitment to nursing practice and our healthcare team. Serving as a role model for the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and reducing healthcare inequities for Maori. Engaging in continuous self-development and service improvement. Ensuring responsible and fiscally sound resource utilization. Demonstrating expert knowledge and clinical skills in nursing processes, including facilitating ongoing care and contracted services. Collaborating with the healthcare team to promote, facilitate, and coordinate multidisciplinary care. Ensuring all nursing practices are safe, legal, effective, and responsive to patient needs. Collaborating with the Clinical Nurse Manager and relevant staff to develop and implement care standards aligned with nursing professional standards. Initiating and applying new clinical practices based on research, expert knowledge, and technical competencies. Practicing quality management principles and utilizing quality audits for continuous quality improvement. Assisting the CNM in managing complaints, incidents, and hazards as per Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai o Poutini West Coast policies and procedures. Understanding and supporting the direction and model of care envisioned by Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai o Poutini West Coast. Nga pukenga menga wheako | Skills and experience Essential: Registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council as a Registered General or Registered Comprehensive Nurse and hold a current Nursing Council of New Zealand Practising Certificate. Demonstrated previous experience in the nursing specialty. Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience. Holds or is working towards a post-graduate diploma in nursing. Sound knowledge and understanding of the Nursing Council of New Zealand's competencies for Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses and associated performance appraisal processes. Ability to develop and implement a nursing care delivery system. Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution across all disciplines and occupational groups. Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills. Proficient in using computers and the ability to expand on those skills. Vision and ability to accommodate and lead change. Commitment to Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai o Poutini West Coast's vision and direction. Desirable: Experience in a management role within a Health Care Organization. Holds or is working toward a minimum post-graduate certificate in leadership & management. Holds or is working toward Designated Senior Nursing level on the PDRP. How to Apply:
