This is a full-time permanent position for a senior registered nurse with experience in Mental Health looking to take on their next challenge.About the Team/Service/LocationNga Rau Rakau has 23 beds and provides services to the wider region, including Wairoa and Central Hawke's Bay. Our Intensive Mental Health Service provides assessment, care, and treatment to people experiencing acute mental illness across an acute inpatient facility and a step-down facility. We have a dynamic, forward-thinking team who rise to the challenges in their day-to-day work.About YouWe are seeking applications from suitably qualified professionals with the following skills and attributes:Be a New Zealand registered nurse with leadership experience and hold a current practising certificate.At least five years' experience working with people with mental health conditions within a mental health service.Have a current valid driver's licence.Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary framework.Proven leadership skills.Work within ethical guidelines and best practice standards.Ability to provide high quality and responsive assessment, identify goals and treatment objectives with consumers.Actively coordinate the ward environment.A great team player with a sense of humour who is flexible and open to working in new and different ways.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.How to ApplyTo view the position description click HERE and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
