The team advises on a range of litigation matters including commercial, property, insurance, employment, construction, trusts, banking, debt collection, and much more. Key functions of the role include: Legal advice on a range of civil litigation matters. Ability to run some files on your own i.e. liquidations (supervision provided). Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client objectives. Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, and settlement agreements. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service. Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlements representing clients under supervision. Stay abreast of changes in legislation, court decisions, and legal trends affecting litigation. Support business development initiatives and attend networking events. Minimum Requirements: NZ qualified lawyer with approximately 3–5 years' legal experience in civil litigation. Exceptional technical mind and ability to analyse legal issues. Great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a sense of humour. Has a strong drive for delivering the best client experience. Is well-organised, time-efficient and process driven. Is able to work independently and as part of a team. Can manage priorities and deadlines effortlessly. Is reliable and shows initiative along with a good attention for detail. Committed to helping develop and train junior solicitors in the team.
