Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThe Associate Charge Nurse Manager (ACNM) is essential in creating partnerships with Maori across all levels, including tangata whaiora, whanau, Maori staff, and the Kaitakawaenga team, and supporting our non-Maori staff to work together in reducing inequity. The ACNM is a key senior role responsible for providing leadership and support to staff, tangata whaiora, and whanau, working in close collaboration with the Charge Nurse Manager.About the TeamWard 36 is a 10-bedded acute admission unit with an adjacent intensive care area consisting of 2 beds and is situated within the Henry Rongomau Bennett Centre. We have a brand new facility being built which will be ready for occupancy in 2026; you will work in a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility, where we aim to deliver a service that is culturally led and clinically underpinned.Be part of leading this change, alongside a great team of managers, clinical leaders, and Maori, including our tangata whaiora and whanau.About YouCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly in healthcare settings.Support the CNM to build a high-performing team that upholds the culture, values, mission, and vision of the service.Engage and work collaboratively with all stakeholders, particularly tangata whaiora and whanau.Foster a culture of openness and quality improvement, with tangata whaiora and whanau at the centre.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
