One team that wants to innovate with a purpose.Your purpose.You're an experienced media planner/buyer by craft and have a proven ability to work with our clients. One client you will be working with is Air New Zealand and you'll be able to understand their goals, challenges in marketing and their communications plans. After probing and teasing, you bring the right people across the business together and formulate ideas on how to strategically overcome those challenges from a brief to implementation through your meticulous planning.Whilst continuing to develop your craft across offline and digital media planning, you will be supporting both our team leaders and be a mentor to our junior team members as a subject matter expert and project manager. Delivering the right outcomes through effective planning is the key purpose of this role, so you'll be accountable for all aspects of traditional (offline) media planning, investment and execution to create wholistic and robust media plans for our clients alongside our digital planning team.What the day to day might look like.Keeping up to date with industry news, trends and business challenges in the market, especially within your client portfolio.Being a key point of contact for clients and suppliers, with your focus on developing senior stakeholder relationships daily.Quality control of plans and engagements with the Air New Zealand marketing team and creative agency partners, including managing deadlines, accuracy, format and performance of campaigns at a macro level to ensure they're hitting agreed metrics.Collaborate closely across client media teams and broader dentsu team members to ensure effective, open working relationships.Manage compliance and rollover of client contracts, in some cases the management of the PRIP.Grow and maintain a profitable portfolio by delivering internal goals and fostering opportunities to deliver broader services offered by Dentsu and Merkle Aotearoa.Support and manage junior team members to ensure progression, support and nurturing through the agency, areas of management include recruitment, performance reviews and training.Pro-actively support new business pitches and RFP responses as needed across the group.You.Have at least 5 years' planning and buying experience working within a media/advertising agency and working with large brands.A deep understanding of the traditional/offline media marketplace in New Zealand, and a keen interest to developing broader exposure into digital planning.Experience managing and/or mentoring junior team members, playing a quality assurance/control role for media plans.Proven ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders and teams, both internally and externally.An ability to make the complex, simple. Gathering data and formulating insights into meaningful actions relevant across a wide range of audiences.Highly organised, project manager to ensure collaboration, timely outcomes and a high quality of output.Self-driven/motivated.
