Internship Opportunity: Student Wind Data Analyst We are seeking a motivated intern to join our team as a Student Wind Data Analyst. Ideally, you will be a student pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Earth Science, Geography, or a related field. You should be available for a fixed period (to be negotiated) over the summer holidays and eager to learn in a dynamic environment. Tasks & responsibilities: MAPPING Prepare data related to maps / GIS (Geography Information System), such as existing road, grid transmission line or substation, land parcel maps, etc. Produce maps for project design, project application / permitting to authorities, internal colleagues.WIND ANALYSIS Monitor and analyse data coming from clients (masts or LiDAR)Assist Wind Energy Analysts in report creation with python codingRun wind resource analysis and energy assessment using industry standard softwareDesign and optimize wind farm layout compliant with site restrictions and conditionsAssist Wind Technician in commissioning and assembly of Wind Equipment (LiDAR) or remote power supplyTRAVELLING Some travel across New Zealand (occasional, depending on project stage) to client's sites assisting in commissioning wind measurement equipment.
