An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Venue Manager with a passion for both the Speight's brand and its history to join the team at the spiritual home of Speight's in Dunedin.The Speight's Heritage Centre is the home of an award-winning Brewery Tour, Cellar Door and Shop. And this is your chance to take on a challenging and rewarding role, with plenty of opportunities for growth.The Speight's Heritage Centre, located in the Speight's Brewery, is the spiritual home of New Zealand's biggest beer brand, attracting over 10,000 visitors per year to experience the "Pride of the South"; and is one of Dunedin's most popular tourist attractions. As Assistant Venue Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the team exceeds the expectations of visitors to this iconic site.Your key responsibility will be to increase visitors to the Heritage Centre by managing an engaging team of tour guides and delivering an exceptional experience to guests. You will also play a key role in increasing our retail sales via the onsite Shop and e-commerce platforms.Core Duties:Managing a team of up to 10 Tour GuidesStakeholder relationship managementEvent managementCash-handling and bankingReservationsRostering and payrollStock ordering and inventory control (including the e-commerce site)Our ideal candidate will have:Passion for the Speight's brand and DunedinMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (Tourism/Hospitality/Retail)Retail and/or merchandising experienceDuty Manager's Licence (preferred not essential)Experience in stock management and control – including stock takesFlexibility in hours of work (this position may include weekend work)What we offer:Competitive remuneration + bonusStaff discount on merchandisePositive & supportive company cultureThis is a Permanent Full-Time position.All candidates must have the right to live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
