Hybrid working, 3 days in the officeThe opportunityAre you ready to embark on an underwriting adventure? Join us as our Assistant Underwriter extraordinaire in this 12 month fixed term contract. We are seeking a bright and outgoing person who is customer focused and an admin wiz.
You will be part of a welcoming, inclusive & supportive team, reporting to the Administration Team Leader in our Wellington branch.

Your new roleSupport the lifecycle of policies from new business - This includes supporting activities such as Mid Term Adjustments (MTAs), renewals through to their cancellation or lapse.Managing credit control activities, production of Certificates of Insurance, processing policies and Schedules, ensuring closings are received in a timely manner.Providing support to Underwriters in the teamsGeneral support tasks across the businessDevelop and maintain system and process knowledge.Develop good working relationships and ensuring timely communication with all internal customers and stakeholders.About youTo be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
Experience within the insurance industry.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detailEnjoy working in a collaborative environment.Inquisitive and a problem solver with a can-do attitude.Tech/system savvy!Excel experience is preferred.More information and the full job profile can be shared with you during the interview process. 
Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, up to 2 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams) and background checks.
