Petone Dental Laboratory is a provider of high quality full and partial dentures and occlusal splints.With over 40 years' experience, you will be joining a small laboratory providing the best fitting dentures with excellent aesthetics and function. In addition to our extensive experience, we also use the latest scientific advances in dental alloys and cutting-edge 3D printed technology.
We are looking for an Assistant who can support our Dental Technician for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Your daily duties will be to assist and support the Dental Technician in the following tasks and processes:
? Polishing and cleaning metal dentures.? Set up a full prosthesis to an already existing lower or upper case under supervision of an experienced dental technician.? Fabrication of crowns, inlays and bridgework.? Construction of metal denture bases using a CAD software.? Operation and maintenance of dental machines and equipment.
This is a technical, hands-on position which would suit applicants with a desire and ability to pursue a career as a dental technician.
We would like to hear from you if you:? You have a formal relevant qualification to at least Level 4. ? Have a fundamental knowledge of oral anatomy and physiology.? Have an understanding of and experience with the materials used in the production.of dental devices and their properties.? Have experience in accurately fabricating casts and models? Have experience in the production of upper and lower impression trays.? Experience with CAD software.? Familiarity with the use of wax, specifically the use of wax try-in dentures.
