Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Key tasks and responsibilities:
·         Assist the Store Manager to manage the store's operation generally
·         Assist managing a team of store staff including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, leading, and general supervision
·         Manage the store and all staff while the Store Manager is not on shift
·         Make sure all the staff follow the store's policies and standards
·         Make decision of staff roster when required
·         Maintain the highest standard of products, services and store's equipment
·         Assist enforcing and monitoring all health, safety, security, and sanitation standards in the store, ensure all requirements are met and maintained
·         Assist managing products' prices, store promotions and marketing strategies
·         Maintain store's inventory, and order new supplies as needed
·         Assist managing all the records of work properly in the store
·         Responsible for daily deposits, and the correct operation of the POS systems
·         Balancing of all daily cash drawers and POS
·         Manage customer service in the store to a high level of customer satisfaction
·         Deal with customer complaints according to store's complaints procedures
·         Have decision to compensate customers in the case of changes of purchases, and check the returned goods
·         May sell products and provide services to customers
·         Report directly to the Store Manager
 
Pay rate: Minimum $26.00/ hour   Maximum $30.00/ hour
 
Guaranteed hours of work per week:  Minimum 30 hours,   permanent full-time
 
Requirements for the job:
·         You should have a relevant business qualification at level 3 or above, or alternatively should have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in any major
·         2 years work experience in store management is required 
·         Strong understanding and knowledge of supermarket operation
·         Excellent problem-solving, and customer service skills
·         Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
·         Full training will be provided
·         Full time availability
·         Able to work on Monday - Saturday
·         No criminal record
·         Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
