Job Responsibilities:Monitor the track.Use signs to warn people.Pull people over and instruct them on better driving.Utilize speed levels to manage customers as needed.Operate the secondary remote speed control.Signal crashes to oncoming karts.Help slow down karts at the end of a race.Alert the track manager to unusual smells, noises, or foreign items on the track (gas, oil, rubber).Fuel up the karts.Start karts as necessary.Assist children with fitting seats, pedals, and speeds.Clean the karts and track area.Dismantle engines using hand tools and examine parts for defects.Assist track staff or managers with errands and repairs to company vehicles.Test and inspect engines to determine malfunctions, locate missing and broken parts, and verify repairs using diagnostic instruments.Tune and alter karts' performance for consistency and high standards.Receive guidance from management to maintain high standards for the karts.Repair or replace defective parts such as magnetos, water pumps, gears, pistons, and carburetors using hand tools.Perform routine maintenance and speed testing.Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete.Adjust points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps using feeler gauges.Replace motors.Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used.Show track marshals how to maintain equipment.Obtain problem descriptions and prepare cost estimates for repairs.Remove engines from equipment and position engines to repair stands.Weld, grind, ream, rebore, and re-tap parts to obtain specified clearances using appropriate tools.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $23.15 – $26.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 30 per weekBenefits:Employee discountSchedule:Afternoon shiftEvening shiftRotating rosterWeekend availabilityApplication Questions:Are you mechanically minded and know your way around small motors?Do you have your restricted or full license and own car?Do you know how to weld?Are you at least 18 years old to work on the track?
