We are currently recruiting for a motivated and sales driven Assistant Sales Manager for a busy dealership in Napier. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager where the role will involve a mix of leadership, sales strategy, and the ability to sell, enabling you to earn a generous commission whilst earning a solid base plus other benefits too.

As the new Assistant Sales Manager you will have the ability to grow the team and drive the sales success. You will also be able sit around the boardroom table with senior management and play a pivotal role in the dealership's success and future planning. The dealership has over 100 vehicles in stock enabling you to earn commission right away. The dealership has a fantastic support team to assist the sales team with their administrative duties and has a dynamic marketing team ensuring dominance and brand dominance in the area.
Responsibilities within this role Support the Sales Manager in overseeing the sales team, helping to set and achieve sales targets, and fostering a motivated sales environmentConduct regular training sessions for new and existing sales staff to enhance their product knowledge and sales techniquesEngage with customers to provide exceptional service, handle enquiries, and resolve any issues that arise during the buying processCollaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies and promotions tailored to the local marketTrack sales metrics and prepare reports for the Sales Manager to assess team performance and identify areas for improvementPurchasing of used stockAssist in managing vehicle inventory ensuring that the dealership has the right mix of vehicles to meet customer demand Requirements for the role A background in automotive sales would be advantageous though we would consider applicants with experience in other relevant industriesExperience in a supervisory role, or, if you are looking to make your first move into management, a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a teamExcellent communication skills for engaging with customers and collaborating with the sales teamPositive attitude and self motivated with a hunger for successProfessional acumen with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environmentQuick and effective resolution of customer issues and sales challenges Rewards for the successful applicant Generous base salary, commissions, fuel, and full maintenance of vehicle expensesTraining and support provided from the management team whilst still being given the autonomy to make the role your ownWork with a company where you will be eager to go to work every day An abundance of over 100 vehicles in stock enabling you to earn a lucrative commission5 days on 2 days off per week How to apply
