The Brand
Our client is a proud Kiwi-owned large-format DIY, Trade & Home retailer. They aim to provide high-quality service delivered by skilled staff that value their customers - by giving honest and professional advice. The store is led by an experienced Retail Manager overseeing all areas of retail operations. They are seeking a new leader to join them to support the next phase of the retail business.

The Job
The Assistant Retail Manager will play a pivotal part in all areas of the retail business including but not limited to:

Leading a team of at least 5 direct reports + extended retail team
Overseeing your dedicated department's growing sales & profit
Driving outstanding customer service and experience
Working and collaborating with SLT to maximise efficiency and process improvements
Merchandising, stock management, stock takes, HR Functions, Administration and more

Ideal Technical, Professional Knowledge, Skills and Experience

5+ years experience with proven results in a retail management role within Big box/large format retail or FMCG
Out-of-the-box thinker able to identify and implement process improvements
Proficient in the use of relevant IT Systems and software
Excellent communication and people skills with a genuine ability to motivate those around you and work as part of a team
