We are seeking a talented Assistant Quality Manager to support the Regional Quality Manager in leading a team which maintains quality systems & inspections throughout Seeka Post Harvest facilities and associated satellite stores, assuring that all export standards are met, and fruit loss and waste are minimised.
This role involves both supporting the Regional Quality manager and working on the floor with the quality team.
This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity which can require you to work weekends and occasionally night shift during the peak of kiwifruit season.
Our ideal candidate will be a team player with strong verbal and interpersonal skills who has proven leadership experience and can think on their feet.
They will be organised, detail oriented and resilient.
Working well under pressure, you will ensure that export standards are met, and quality staff are well trained both in terms of policy and proficiency.
The successful applicant will have: Full New Zealand Driver's Licence Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Experience in analysing data, extracting useful information and translating it into actionable objectives Proven people management experience in best practice HR, managing people effectively to achieve business objectives Previous experience using software and other computer-based technology either in Seeka specific programmes or using a similar software platform Proven industry knowledge with 5+ years' experience working within kiwifruit, horticulture or primary industry Experience implementing company processes or policies Previous experience with Zespri and/or MPI accreditation would be preferred but not essential Benefits include Life & Trauma cover and Medical Insurance.
