Assistant Manager - Portlander Bar and Grill Portlander Bar and Grill, at Rydges Featherston street, injects Wellington's business district with a thriving hub of steak, whiskey, wine, and ambience seven days a week. Portlander is a 'hotel restaurant' with a unique difference as it is almost unheard of for a hotel restaurant to attract so many locals.

As our Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will co-ordinate and assist in the management of the Restaurant and Bar operations while overseeing supervisors, team-leaders, baristas, room service attendants, and restaurant floor attendants. Reporting to and working with the Venue Manager to ensure the delivery of an award-winning experience to our guests.
The Role
You will be a natural leader, engaging and inquisitive.
You will maintain a hands-on approach guiding and developing the skills of the Portlander team.
You will have a passion for food and wine.
A minimum of 2 years' experience.
You will have experience with a POS software.
Proven interpersonal skills with strong communication skills.
