Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore.Job PurposeTo develop and implement an effective outreach, engagement, and marketing strategy, to attract and recruit the world's best students for graduate programmes at the NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and to continue the engagement when they become alumni.The Manager/Assistant Manager will be central to the School's outreach efforts, developing and leveraging the global LKYSPP community of alumni and partners, in support of the School's student, academic and business needs.The role is part community building, part recruitment, and part marketing. The Manager/Assistant Manager is central to the School's efforts to expand student enrolment and develop a thriving, lively campus. They will also serve as a liaison to the alumni community, driving engagement and enriching the experience of the community by integrating alumni across the School's many touchpoints.Job DescriptionI. Alumni RelationsDevelop, manage and support the School's key alumni engagement programming.Identify and articulate the unique value proposition of being an LKYSPP alumni.Cultivate and steward relationships with alumni, partners, and current students.Build and maintain strong alumni communities.Be the contact point for the School's alumni, and alumni chapters.Assist the team with content development such as alumni stories (text and video), newsletters, class notes and social media posts.Maintain alumni database; analyse data, create and present reports.Coordinate with NUS Office of Alumni Relations to support and facilitate alumni engagement campaigns and activities.II. Student RecruitmentIn conjunction with Head of Outreach and Partnerships, develop and implement a comprehensive regional student recruitment marketing & outreach strategy.Student Recruitment Events: Plan and facilitate online and offline engagements, such as information sessions, postgraduate masterclasses, and other student recruitment events.Marketing and publicity materials: Prepare and produce content, copy and visuals for marketing and publicity materials across a range of platforms.Serve as "go-to-market" expert for the designated region, and to provide insights and field reports to LKY School Senior Management, faculty and other departments about the education market as well as broader market insights that are relevant to the School.Cultivate and manage strategic relationships for the region - including government agencies, civil servants, alumni, the academic community, corporates, donors, prospective students and media.Develop and employ a range of marketing efforts, including but not limited to digital marketing campaigns. Monitor campaigns, create and maintain analytics to gather key insights and ensure they are meeting their objectives.Support enquiry management, lead conversion and application-related team responsibilities.III. Academic PartnershipsDevelop and proactively manage partnerships that will enable the school to build a steady and effective pipeline of eligible students, as well as a variety of student mobility options.Strengthen and manage existing partnerships, and assess prospective partnerships, to ensure alignment with the School's strategic goals.Foster collaborations with key networks and the School's partner universities.Facilitate joint initiatives, student exchange programmes, and other programming that promote collaboration with and among the School's partners.Any other duties as assigned.Please note that this role might involve some travel and might require some unsocial hours on occasion (i.e. a few evenings, weekends).Qualifications• Education: Possess a good degree in business, marketing, communications, international affairs, public policy, social sciences, or a related field.• Proficiency in English is a must. Proficiency in Chinese would be advantageous as one of the programmes is conducted in Chinese. While Chinese is not a mandatory requirement, it will enhance the candidate's ability to participate effectively in all aspects of the role.• Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in recruitment, marketing, alumni relations, government relations, business development, public affairs or a related field. Experience working with government officials or agencies is a plus.• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.• Relationship Management and marketing: a track record of successfully developing and implementing student recruitment, stakeholder engagement, and marketing strategies. Relevant experience in the higher education sector and/or deep understanding of the China market in particular, would be advantageous.• Government Relations Skills: Knowledge and experience in working with government agencies and officials, understanding of regulatory issues and policy making, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.• Exceptional interpersonal skills, collaboration and project management skills. Resilient, resourceful, with good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.• Adaptability: Must be adaptable to change and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, PPC, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing, is essential.• CRM Experience: Experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, is preferred.• Travel: Regional and international travel is expected.
