Job Opportunity: Assistant Manager at The Plume of Feathers, Princetown Location: Princetown, Dartmoor Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum The Plume of Feathers, located in the heart of Dartmoor, is seeking a dedicated and professional Assistant Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to the continued rebuilding of this historic establishment and ensure an exceptional experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service Excellence: Ensure all customers receive a warm welcome and high-quality service. Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate the front of house team to perform their best. Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and smooth functioning. Cash Handling: Manage cash registers, handle transactions accurately, and reconcile daily takings. Inventory Management: Assist with stock replenishment, inventory control, and merchandising. Customer Queries: Address customer queries and complaints professionally and promptly. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure the front of house area is clean, tidy, and well-presented. Training and Development: Train new staff and support ongoing development for existing team members. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a customer-facing environment. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Numeracy Skills: Proficient in handling cash and basic financial tasks. Problem-Solving: Ability to handle customer complaints and operational issues efficiently.
