Location: Yelverton Golf Club, PL20 6BN
Hours: 40hrs per week with occasional evenings and weekends
Start Date: Negotiable (within the next 3 months)
Salary: Commensurate with the job title and the experience, knowledge and skillset of the successful applicant (£27,000 - £36,000 pa)

Yelverton Golf Club (YGC) is looking to appoint an Assistant Manager or Assistant General Manager (dependent on experience/knowledge/skillset) to support all aspects of golf club provision. This will include working closely with the General Manager across all areas including business and finance administration, course preparation and development, competition organisation, hospitality, event management, and supporting the membership across a diverse range of activity.
While knowledge of golf is not essential, excellent working knowledge of a member's club, preferably in a sporting environment, is desirable along with all aspects of finance, administration, and hospitality.
Essential Criteria:
Working knowledge of a members club including:
Administration (membership billing, membership reports, invoice generation and payment, external guest/visitor bookings)
Business Finance (subscription income, purchase and sales ledgers, end of month reports, P/L accounts, end of year accounts, bank reconciliation, monthly payroll, daily cash)
Excellent IT skills including knowledge of accounting software (e.g., CROFT, SAGE, INTUIT Quickbooks), WORD, EXCEL
Knowledge of sport specific software as appropriate
An understanding of hospitality within a member's club including bar and catering
An understanding of marketing specific to a sports club across all appropriate social media platforms
Excellent communication skills

Degree qualification or equivalent
Health and Safety knowledge, specific to a sports club
Safeguarding knowledge, specific to a sports club
Managing staff
