Job Description We are looking for an honest, reliable, and hard-working person to manage our dairy farm operations. The role includes: Managing a 300 cow dairy farm with a 32 aside herringbone milking system with cup removers. Spring calving on 115 ha running a system 2/3 input system. Good pasture management skills with the aim of utilizing pasture first. Using PKE and home-grown maize to fill feed deficits (fed in paddock). Operation of machinery and bikes. Good animal husbandry skills. Ability to work unsupervised and manage staff. Overseeing the day-to-day running of the farm, especially the milkings, liaising with the owner. Assisting with any jobs associated with running our dairy farm operation. Good practical skills for on-farm maintenance. We have an award-winning farm that focuses on detail to operate an efficient system. Relief milkings for partner/family member are available. Accommodation A 4-bedroom house is available. Hourly & Remuneration Average Hours per Week: 50 Rostered Time Off: Single rotation - 12 days on / 2 days off. Remuneration: $70,000 Total Package Value (e.g., Salary and/or benefits) negotiable.
