We are seeking a 2IC to start after New Years. We are based in Te-Pirita, 10 min from Rakaia, on a 200-hectare farm all irrigated by pivots and fixed grid. We milk 560 cows with Allflex collars through a 50-bail rotary shed, complete with a mineralizer, automatic teat sprayer, cup removers, auto-drafting and in-shed feeding.What we're offering:A 2-bedroom house with a heat pump, fire, and garageA fair roster: 9 days on, 3 days off most of the year (8 on, 2 off over calving, Aug – Sept)A competitive salary to reflect your skillsWhat we're looking for:A minimum of 3 years NZ dairy experienceGreat knowledge of pasture managementExcellent animal health skillsAccurate recording skillsBe honest, reliable and physically able to do the jobAt least 2 referencesA hard-working, reliable, team player who has good work ethicsConfident to undertake milking and other farm duties alone to a high standardWe are seeking an Assistant Manager/2IC to join our team for the 2025/2026 season. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your farming knowledge and management skills with hands-on guidance from the farm owner and for the right candidate the opportunity to grow and progress in your career.We operate a very tidy, well-maintained and high producing unit approximately 30 minutes from Ashburton and 20 minutes from Methven. We milk 850 cows through a 60 bale rotary with ACR's and in-shed feeding, pivot irrigation with some k-line/sprinklers and tidy on-farm housing.Key attributes are essential for this position:Sound knowledge of pasture management
