St Mary's College is a state-integrated Catholic secondary school for girls (Y9–13) located in central Wellington. We are a high performing school in sport, punching well above our weight.
We are seeking a committed and well-organised physical education and health teacher to join our team as Assistant HOLA PE/Health. This is a full-time, permanent position beginning at the start of the 2025 school year.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to lead and support innovative teaching strategies, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and develop meaningful connections with a diverse community of students and their whanau. The ability to connect with a multicultural community, possess sound classroom pedagogy along with a good knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum is desirable.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about working with students at all levels and in particular, shows commitment to working with students to reach their full potential. The ability to teach senior PE will be a distinct advantage.
We expect that the appointee will need to teach other subjects too. Ideally, we would love to find someone who can also teach dance and/or science. Please let us know in your application what your supporting subjects are.
