Assistant Herd Manager

Job Description We are looking for an Assistant Herd Manager to join our team of 4 others in Ashburton. We milk 980 cows at peak, though a 54 bail rotary, automatic cup removers, 266ha, spray irrigation, 2 rotorainers. the applicant must have previous experience dairy farming, be able to work in a team, some knowledge on moving rotorainers (not essential), able to operate a tractor (feeding out, mowing, rolling). They also must be willing to learn, teach others and have a sense of humor.
