Herd Manager required for a farm in Southland. We are looking for 1-2 Assistant Herd Managers.
The applicant will need to undertake farm duties confidently. Those duties include, but not restricted to planning, organizing, controlling, executing farm operations to breed and raise dairy cattle for milk, meat, breeding stock. Perform Herd Manager duties and other responsibilities as required.
Employment Type: Permanent Full-time
Days Required: Mondays to Fridays and may include night shifts and weekends depending on the job orders.
Hours: Minimum guaranteed hours of 60-90 hours per fortnight.
Hourly rate or Salary band: $29.66 - $35 per hour.
Either 3 years of relevant work experience or at least level 4 relevant qualification or any Bachelors Degree of any course will be considered.
Training will be provided for the qualified applicant.
Needs to have good communication skills, health and safety conscious, physically fit and drug free. Must be hard working, honest, reliable work attendance and excellent time management.
Shared accommodation will be provided.
Milking 512 cows through a 44 Aside Herringbone. All flat contour with well maintained infrastructure. 250ha
