Assistant Head of School, Business, Tourism, Hospo Listed 8 days Ago Education In this role, you will report directly to the Head of School of Business, Tourism and Hospitality, and English Language Centre.
Your responsibilities will encompass assistant management and leadership to the School of Business, Tourism and Hospitality, and English Language Centre, and to assist in the provision of management and leadership across the Hawke's Bay, Auckland and Tairawhiti campuses.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $76,000 and $95,000, dependent on experience.
The Assistant Head of School of Business, Tourism and Hospitality, and English Language Centre is based in our EIT | Te Pukenga Taradale Campus and will be responsible for: Supporting the development and implementation of the School of Business, Tourism and Hospitality, and English Language Centre Annual Plan, achieving performance targets and objectives, as designated.
Supporting the Head of School to monitor and manage income, operational and staffing expenses and resources in accordance with faculty targets.
Supporting the Head of School in association with the Auckland Campus Director, Programme Leader, and Programme Coordinators, to develop programme delivery plans that are consistent with programme aims, philosophy, curricular approach, policies and procedures.
Ensuring the Schools reflect a commitment to high quality education and service, including liaison with relevant stakeholders.
Building and maintaining excellent relationships with external stakeholders, particularly in Tourism and Hospitality, and English Language.
Providing coordinated leadership and support for academic staff members and students in undergraduate programmes, particularly in Tourism and Hospitality, and English Language.
Teaching dependent on other workload commitments.
Minimum Requirements: A relevant qualification (Masters or equivalent would be an advantage) or equivalent level of knowledge.
Proven experience in leadership and management.
Knowledge and experience of curriculum and programme development within undergraduate Tourism and Hospitality and/or English Language education frameworks.
An understanding of the principles of cultural safety, a commitment to the development of a culturally safe working and learning environment, and a commitment to parity of student success.
