Key duties and responsibilities:Oversight of year levels as directed by HOD DramaMentoring and support of teachers within the departmentProvide professional leadership within the learning areasEnsure the maintenance of high standard teaching and learningAssist with curriculum strategy, annually reviewing units of work and programmes and analysing relevant dataCollaborate with other curriculum leaders and teachers to support the faculties and achievement of school wide strategic goalsPromote and grow the subject and enhancing academic progressActive involvement in the College co-curricular Performing Arts program.Key skills and experiences:Registered NZ teacher with valid practicing certificateTeaching degree or equivalent education and/or experienceDetailed knowledge, understanding and experience of current teaching methodologies and assessment practicesAbility to relate effectively to young people, colleagues and other stakeholders with strong relationship management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsPositive and collaborative team member, showing enthusiasm and commitment to promoting their faculties and respect to staffWillingness to uphold the special character and culture of Saint Kentigern and commitment to the co-curricular programme of the collegeStrong understanding of health and safety and committed to upholding and role modelling best practice.What we offer:1 Management UnitWorld class facilities, learning aids and equipmentHow to apply:As an accredited employer, Saint Kentigern invites national and international candidates that meet the above criteria to submit their application online using the vacancy link provided.
